Introduction of Emergency Situation Surcharge for International Mail and Postage Rates Adjustment for Mail Destined for the U.S.
Due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, international flights have been drastically reduced since 2020. The overseas shipping cost (from Taiwan to the USA) is adjusted and will raise since 2021.03.08.

因應國際航運價格攀升及美國郵政調漲國際郵件遞送費用，國際郵件將自110年3月8日起，新增「緊急情況附加費」資費項目(相關計費標準將另按月公告)，並調整寄往美國郵件公告資費，以反映國際郵件營運成本，俾持續提供優質服務。
中華郵政公司表示，因受新型冠狀病毒肺炎(COVID-19)疫情影響，自109年起國際航班大幅縮減，飛往國外主要航點最高峰航運價格較疫情前增加高達4倍，致國際郵件航空運費支出大幅增漲；另美國郵政自109年7月起，大幅調升函件小包遞送費率，並逐年調漲包裹及快捷郵件遞送費率。中華郵政公司多年來均未調整國際郵件公告資費，惟外部營運費用均已大幅攀升，嚴重衝擊郵政事業營運。

此次更新後的運費調漲幅度相當高，一公斤陸空包裹從台幣250調漲至台幣540。0.5公斤航空包裹從台幣220調漲至台幣500。
