操作步驟
- 先將爐內底灰整平，前次未燒盡的灰燼理好整平(若有焦黑粒狀，要先推開磨平，或是清理出來)。
- 置篆: 放置香模於爐內中心處。
- 舖香粉。請注意香模不要移動。
- 製篆: 將香粉平整的置入線條的溝槽中。
- 製篆完成: 讓香粉在各線條的轉折處都均勻地舖齊。
- 脫篆模: 步驟2後，香模都不要再移動。製篆完成後，一手固定香模，一手以香鏟或香匙當輔助，輕敲香模手柄，讓溝槽內的粉能稍微鬆動，方便脫模。
- 香篆完成。脫模後，即可以雙手配合取下香模，留下完整的香形。
- 引火: 可以使用軟火式的打火機、或是火柴棒、線香引火方式點燃完成的香形。
- 品香。賞香。
一般製篆常見問題:
- 新手製作篆香，建議可以將爐內的底灰舖高。越高脫模會越順手。當然，老師父可以不用舖高，心靜、手穩的朋友不需特意將底灰舖高。
- 每次試做都要用香粉嗎? 新手試模，請先用香灰當香粉試做，成功幾次後再實地使用香粉。
- 香粉要刮緊還是鬆好呢? 這有關係到您的香粉的成份、纖維含量等，需要您多做幾次，抓到手感。
